Red Square

The main and most famous square in Moscow is located in the city center, near the north- eastern wall of Kremlin. Red Square is the traditional location for main Moscow events and celebrations. In winter there is an ice rink, and on May 9th tanks and other military equipment pass the square during the Victory Day parade.

As main tourist destination, Red Square is surrounded by expensive shops, cafes and restaurants. Souvenirs and original products can be bought, for example, at GUM shopping mall, or at permanent fair located at the exit of Ploshcad Revolutsii and next to the Historical Museum. You can also have a walk along neighboring streets - there are also lots of souvenir shops. Prices are high or very high.
